Permanent Makeup

Permanent Pigmentation is the micro-implantation of all-natural approved pigments into the skin pores with a specially designed machine. The procedure is completely safe, and in most cases virtually painless. Even more incredible, it can be corrected in most cases. The most important aspect of Permanent Makeup is that it is much more appealing with less work. It has the added advantage of not coming off during the night, in the pool, on the tennis court, etc. And it saves time!

Permanent Makeup FAQ’s

What is Permanent Makeup (PMU)?

Permanent cosmetic makeup is cosmetic tattooing. The specialized techniques used for permanent cosmetics are often referred to as “micropigmentation”, “micropigment implantation” or “dermagraphics”. The cosmetic implantation technique deposits colored pigment into the upper reticular layer of the dermis

Is PMU A Safe Procedure?

Yes!

How Long Does The Procedure Take?

Permanent makeup procedure takes approximately a 30 minute numbing, but the full procedure time varies depending on the desired area. Microblading takes approximately 2 hours to complete with a 30 minute numbing included.

How Is the specific desired look and shades of coloring determined?

The desired look and shades of coloring begins during the consultation appointment prior to your procedure, where you will go over your desired shape and shade with your permanent makeup artist.

How long should I wait before I can have PMU applied after Botox, injectables, chemical peels or laser treatments?

There is no waiting period.

Is PMU Similar To Tattooing?

Permanent makeup is similar to tattooing in a sense that reaches the dermal layer of the skin, but the colors are not micronized like tattoo ink, so it looks more natural.

Is there any discomfort associated with PMU?

No, we use a topical anesthetic to numb your skin before applying the pigment in the desired area. If you begin to feel any discomfort during the procedure, anesthetic is reapplied.

What Is The Healing Time? Is Any Care Required After The Procedure?

The healing process takes approximately 7-10 days for it to completely heal. Your Brows will be darker than desired color for this time period but will lighten to the desired color after healing. Triple antibiotic ointment must be applied to the skin 3 times a day for 7-10 days. Avoid doing any strenuous activity during the healing period.

How Long Does the PMU Last?

Permanent makeup is a permanent procedure that can last forever because it sits in the dermal layer of the skin.

How Are Microblading And PMU Different?

We recommended that you allow the lips to heal between 4-6 weeks before you do a lip augmentation.
